Why ARFEP?

People have the right to know what they are eating and how it affects their health. They also have the right to know how their food system is regulated and how to make it work the best for their health and the health of their families and the ecosystem around them.
ARFEP hopes to motivate consumers all over the country to form food councils, share their own experiences learning about how to creat sustainable food systems and engage in activism to make their food system work in sustainable and healthful ways.

About Us
The Alliance for Responsible Food and Environmental Policy (ARFEP) was formed in 2015 and successfully petitioned the Arlington, VA County Board to discontinue procuring meat produced from animals treated with those antibiotics that are important for human health. We have been working ever since to educate the public and take effective action to improve the health of Americans and our food system.
