Our Programs

ARFEP wants to be a different kind of organization.  We want to focus on creating communities who monitor and share stories about their work to make our food system better.  We want to provide highlights from the latest books and news sources about the food system to consumers.  And, we want to form a true alliance from the bottom-up that will support our health, the health or our families and the health of our ecosystem.

Petition Dives

The Alliance for Responsible Food and Environmental Policy has launched one successful petition drive which resulted in Arlington County, VA putting a stop to internal purchasing of meat produced from animals treated with antibiotics.  We have a second petition circulating right now to ban glyphosate from use on public lands and to limit its use by residents.  Please contact us for more information about our petition drives and to get involved.

Book Clubs

The Alliance for Responsible Food and Environmental Policy is committed to get people reading about all of the issues that affect the current food system and talking about them with their neighbors.  We will publish a book list along with critical questions for your local group.  People can feel free to send suggestions for this list, to include books and relevant articles, to arfep4us@gmail.com
